a) Information You Provide
- Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, school name, and address when you register, request a demo, or purchase a license.
- Payment Information: Payment details are processed securely by Razorpay. We do not store your credit card, debit card, or bank account details on our servers.
- License Information: License key, machine ID (hardware identifier), and activation status.
b) Information Collected Automatically
- Machine ID: A hashed hardware identifier generated from your computer's hardware. Used solely for license activation and is not personally identifiable.
- IP Address: Collected during license activation, demo requests, and website visits for security and analytics purposes.
- Usage Data: Basic analytics on website visits (pages viewed, referral source). We do not track your activity within the desktop application.
c) Student Data
Important: All student data (names, fees, payments, guardian details) entered into the Feenix desktop application is stored locally on your computer only. We do not have access to, collect, or store any student data on our servers.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To process license purchases and activations.
- To provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
- To send important product updates and security notifications.
- To prevent fraud and unauthorized license usage.
- To improve our software and services.
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information only in the following cases:
- Payment Processor: Razorpay processes your payments. Their privacy policy applies to payment data.
- Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or government regulation.
- Business Transfer: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the business.
4. Data Security
- License activation uses HTTPS encryption.
- Passwords are hashed using bcrypt (industry standard).
- Admin panel is protected with CSRF tokens and session management.
- Student data is stored locally in an encrypted SQLite database on your machine.
- We do not store payment card details on our servers.
5. Data Retention
- Account data: Retained as long as your license is active. Deleted upon request.
- Demo requests: Retained for up to 2 years for follow-up purposes.
- Activation logs: Retained for 1 year for security and support purposes.
- Student data: Stored locally on your computer. We have no access to it.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your personal data.
- Withdraw consent for marketing communications.
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format.

7. Cookies
Our website uses minimal cookies:
- Session cookies: Required for admin panel login. Expire when you close the browser.

8. Children's Privacy
Feenix is designed for use by school administrators and staff, not by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Student data entered by school staff is stored locally and is not transmitted to our servers.
